About Me:

I have 40 years of classroom teaching behind me,  first as a music teacher, then an English teacher, then a Drama teacher. I have a Master's Degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. from Skidmore College. I am passionate about writing fiction and reading and my strength is in sparking creativity in my students.  One of my greatest joys is hearing back from former students that I inspired them to be writers or editors or that I gave them the skills they needed to make it through high school and college in one piece! No matter what wiring or challenges my students have, the goal is to learn to express themselves with confidence, to understand what they are reading and that their voice in writing matters.
